Dr. Elchin Jafarovis the head of the Quantum Information Science Laboratory at the Institute of Physics of the State Agency for Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan. In 1993, he graduated from Baku State University with a degree in physics. He received Ph.D. and DSc degrees in theoretical physics respectively in 1999 and 2016. During 1999-2000, he worked at CERN as a UNESCO fellow and was a member of the Quantum Chromodynamics and Transition Radiation Tracker work groups of the ATLAS experiment. Also, during 2006-2012 he was a scientific researcher at Ghent University, Belgium. After that, during 2013-2017 he was elected as an associate member of the Abdus Salam International Centre for Theoretical Physics (Trieste, Italy). His research interests cover various exactly solvable problems in quantum physics and related areas. He published about 40 papers in internationally recognized scientific journals.
