irko Cestarihas a PhD in material science and computing simulations. In Cineca -the main Italian supercomputing center -leads the”System architectures and Cloud Technologies” group of the High Performance Computing in charge of guiding the evolutionof the data center, with focus on the infrastructure for high performance computing, for cloud solutions, for data managementand data analytics. and with the goal of providing a world class computing infrastructure for Italian and European research.Technical representative for Leonardo precursor of exascale system. Italian representative in the technical groups of the mainEuropean projects on technological evolution of HPC data centers (PPI4HPC, ICEI). His main activities include technologicalscouting in the field of supercomputing and data management, concurrent programming, technical consultancy and teaching.
