Pierre-Henri Cros

IRIT

In 2012, Pierre-Henri Cros left CERFACS (Centre Européen de Recherche et de Formation Avancée en Calcul Scientifique) where he was Deputy Director, to join IRIT (Institut de Recherche en Informatique de Toulouse), where he is in charge of scientific prospecting and partnerships. He always gets involved in some of the European projects in which his research centre is a leader or participant. As part of his new role, he coordinated IRIT’s contribution to the INARMERA-ICT (Integrating Armenia into ERA: Information and Communication Technologies 2012-2015) project, which aimed to strengthen the cooperation capacity of the Institute for Computer and Automation Problems of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Armenia (IIAP NAS RA) in Yerevan by creating the conditions for improving its research activities in thematic priority areas of European calls. This project was followed by two Erasmus + mobility participations, which enabled us to welcome to the University of Toulouse about twenty students, to organise annual exchanges between researchers from IIAP and IRIT, and to finalise a degree in mathematics and computer science co-graduated by the University of Toulouse (UT3-Paul Sabatier) and the French University of Armenia (UFAR).

Today, he is involved in the Horizon 2020 CyberSec4Europe project, which aims to establish and operate a pilot network of cybersecurity expertise and to develop and implement a common roadmap for cybersecurity research and innovation. In particular, Pierre-Henri contributes to the development of the governance model for the future cybersecurity competence network. In parallel and in this context, he also runs the legal group of the Toulouse cybersecurity node.
