Presentation title:  Role of NRENs in healthcare innovation

Sergiusz Zieliński graduated from Poznań University of Technology with a degree in computing science in 2007. Since 2006, he has been a member of the Network Services Division team at Poznań Supercomputing and Networking Center (PSNC), involved in a number of R&D projects realized within both EU and national programmes. His expertise pertains to the role of ICT technologies in bettering the health and wellbeing of dependent persons (e.g. the PELOSHA project which focused on creating a comprehensive solution for supporting health-related needs of older adults), as well as to high capacity videoconferencing and its application in fields such as eHealth. The results of the HIPERMED project carried out in this area were commercialized, and since 2016 Sergiusz has also been involved in the operations of medVC.eu, a company providing videoconferencing-based remote collaboration solutions for medical professionals.
