Laureate of the Prize of the Government of the Russian Federation in the field of science and technology for 2006, the prize of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus (2007), the joint award of the Russian Academy of Sciences and the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus (2009). In 2006 he was awarded the medal of Francis Skaryna.

Has published more than 370 scientific papers, including 11 monographs (in co-authorship) and about 100 articles. He received 6 patents and author’s certificates, headed the preparation of more than 10 state standards, under his edition came out 16 editions.

From November 1995 to May 2013 – Deputy Director General for Sciences and Head of the Laboratory of Information Protection Problems of the United Institute of Informatics Problems of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus.

Secretary and member of the Supervisory Board of the High-Tech Park – from January 2010 to December 2013.

Since 2001, a member of the Council of the Scientific and Technological Association “Infopark”, including in 2008-2009 and 2013-2014 – Chairman of the Council.

He is a scientist and expert in the field of information security, multiprocessor computing systems, HPC, NREN, medical informatics, Single Window, DSM, e-Trade and the information society.

He was the scientific leader from Belarus on the project of the 7th Framework Program of the EU “BalticGrid-II” (2008-2010), the executive executor from Belarus of the two largest projects of the electronic infrastructure of the 7th EU framework program: “GEANT-III” (2009- 2013) and EGI-InSPIRE (2010-2013).
